Bring back the Manchester-Liverpool via Broadheath rail line

Bring back the Manchester-Liverpool via Broadheath rail line
Why this petition matters
This line was closed as part of the infamous Dr Beeching cuts, and ever since residents of the areas alongside the railway line have had to rely even more on their cars for a number of journeys that could still be done by train if the rail line was still open. Therefore those people have had to suffer with the costs of maintaining and re-fueling a car which equates to roughly £3,000-12.000/year, not to mention the devastating environmental impact.
The line would only need 8.4km of track and a few bridges + rail-crossings to be teared-down and then re-built so that they are up-to-date and safe for all. The track and bridges are still there for most of the way, only needing a small amount of bushes and trees to be cleared.
The line wold connect the cities of Manchester, Warrington and Liverpool even closer together serving many local communites along the way.
