As a Bronx resident I know the importance of having some sort of community events as well as keeping the kids busy in partaking in physical activities and out of the harm of the streets.

We need to build community, there isn't enough parks and we need to unite. It would be prime opportunity to teach people how to bike and more.

Because I ride regularly on the Grand Concourse, but it always feel slightly dangerous, and I would love to take my kids biking safely!

This would make the Bronx a destination. It's for those already in the Bronx and those not in the Bronx. Please open the Grand Concourse to non-cars on Sundays, for all of us! There would be so many positives.

The "Park Avenue of the Bronx" should get its Summer Streets back. Kids (and adults) need safe space to play and meet!

The communities through which the Grand Concourse passes are some of the most densly populated in the city( Community District 5 has 5,000 people per mapped acre of parks). By allowing residents car-free access to the center roadway, at least on Sundays during the warm weather months, families can enjoy a very unique and vital neghborhood asset. Such venues are made availble elsewhere in NYC, lets bring car-free Sundays back to the Grand Concourse.

I remember car-free-Sundays when I lived by the Grand Concourse. It was wonderful for families (mothers, fathers, children, grandparents, cousins) roller skating, bike riding and walking. The Grand Concourse is made for bringing families and the community together for peace and enjoyment.

I have long been an advocate for the conversion of the Grand Concourse into a parkway. I believe it is possible if we get enough people on board to push for it.
