RISD is taking away phones from the start until the end of every school day starting the 2022-23 school year. Not only does this cause problems for students safety, it can also interfere with appointments, being picked up from school early, and the fact the school doesn't own the phone. If, by law, we are required to have to go to a place we don't want to, we should at least be able to keep our phones that many of us pay a lot of money for.
