Ang pera nating mga commuter hindi basta basta nauubos pero yung pasensya natin, konting-konti na lang. We had enough of these drivers rejecting us after answering them with their "Ikaw lang isa?" question. We had enough of these drivers asking "Pila hatag mo didto?" pretending the "taripa" imposed by the city government does not exist. We had enough of these drivers telling us "Layo man to, sa iban ka na lang sakay." after saying our destinations. Like seriously? Kaya nga po kami sasakay diba kasi malayo po, kuya?! Seven out of ten tricycle drivers act like this, swerte ka na kung magpapasakay yung ika 3rd na tricycle mong pinara nang walang angal or excuse.
The last revision of tricycle tariff imposed by the city government mandates us commuters to pay P10 as minimum tricycle fare regardless how near our drop offs are. Kahit 200 meters lang, obliged tayong magbayad ng 10 pesos at binabayaran natin yung P10 na yun ng walang angal! Do we ask them, "Otso na lang kuya, lapit lang man." No we don't because we follow. We even try to be considerate minsan na dinadagdagan natin yung pamasahe kasi ramdam nating malayo yung destination natin. We know we can report them at the LTO. But these people just never learn. If we commuters are abiding this ordinance, why can't they do their part? Why can't they follow the "taripa" and why do they have to give us traumatic experiences each day we commute.
With all of these, we are signing this petition to ask for the City Government of Koronadal to bring back the former minimum fare for the transportation via tricycle. If these drivers can't abide by the "taripa" and show little etiquette to the commuters who are source of their living, might as well revoke the privilege given to them. These corrupt drivers must be taught a lesson and this one is for them.
