Why this petition matters

The Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University is a main staple of our campus. This semester unfortunately, we have been struck with a plague. The Port City Java in the Poole College of Management has been closed all semester long for "staffing issues." I find this to be BLASPHEMY! We are quite literally the business school. Business people drink coffee, it is what we do. It is a part of what makes business people who we are. Not to mention the amount of breakfast foods students are not being fed along with these beverages. The lack of calories being consumed by business students is causing the average GPA of a business student to have actually lowered since the "temporary closing" of Port City Java. When Port City Java is open in Nelson Hall, the air smells better, students and faculty are in better moods, and the people prosper. On a business note, this is also disgusting business being done by the corporation of Port City Java. Somebody should be fired! The amount of foot traffic that goes through Nelson Hall on a daily basis is exceptionally great. Most of these students would be spending so much money at Port City Java every single day, yet Port City Java is making $0 revenue from the business school because of "staffing issues." Now you may be thinking maybe there really is staffing issues, but get this:

The Poole College of Management is the college for over 4,000 students at NC State.

The NC State Vet School has just over 400 students.

With both of these facts in play, the NC State Vet School's Port City Java is open for business, while the Poole College of Management Port City Java is closed for, who knows how much longer. WE NEED CHANGE!

Business students stand up for what we deserve! Join the fight for PCJ!
