ABOUT NAOMI:

     “NAOMI is the latest superhero drama from DC Comics”. It first aired on The CW Network on January 11, 2022. The series’ title character, Naomi is played by a very talented young lady named Naomi McDuffie (Kaci Walfall), she is an adopted child who discovers her own origins when a Superman involved event “shakes her town. Her journey takes her from her small northwestern town to the heights of the multiverse.”

ABOUT THE CANCELLATION:

     The series was cancelled by The CW Network due to the pending sale of the CW network, and without warning…..Leaving fans an unceremonious ending, just as the new series began.  What was expected to be a two part season finale (cliffhanger and all) has been cruelly delivered as a series finale instead. This cancellation did not come about due to the ratings. NAOMI maintained high ratings throughout its singular season, to include a score of 90% with Rotten Tomatoes. The cancellation of NAOMI came about because of the pending sale of the company! While Paramount and Warner Entertainment could have renewed the series contract during its pending sale of the network, it made the decision to cancel without any further thought of what the fans and actors may think or how they would feel about it’s sudden removal.

IMPACT ON TELEVISION AND CULTURE:

     NAOMI is a series that, in its short time on-air, has had, and should continue to have a major impact on young girls, particularly of the AF-AM community.
It’s not very often that you will find a series that has a leading female protagonists, and follows a young woman of color as the main character. NAOMI is admired for her sense of friendship, family and virtue!

     Please help me to bring this series back? With your help, we can get the attention of networks like Warner Bro. Entertainment, Paramount and future potential buyers of the network to take on the task of restoring the greatness of this amazing show, and make young girls of color proud of having their very own hero, and give/keep well needed representation in the DC universe! NAOMI is a well needed show that deserves its place on television lineups. It is a great story, and very enjoyable to people of all backgrounds. Please share and spread the word!
