Mr. Basso has been working in our school for 9 months and in that short amount of time he has made a immense impact on our school community. He has gone out of his way to buy students breakfast, and equipment for our sports. He never fails to put a smile on out face and turn any bad day to a good one and for some people he was like a father figure. He motivated us to be and do better and always wants the best for all 200+ students he works with. When we found out about this we were all devastated, no other teacher would ever come close to Mr. Basso. In no way has any of us felt uncomfortable or unwanted around him, for most of us he wasn’t just a teacher but a friend. This job was everything for him, to support his family and especially his son with diabetes’s and working two jobs and making it home at almost 10 everyday is not easy. If anyone deserves a second chance it’s Mr. Basso.
