I am a Mum of six and am currently running a community shop and food bank in Norfolk. I have seen first hand how the cost of living crisis is affecting families across the UK.

Last week Norfolk County Council voted to take away free meal vouchers for children during the holidays. This means that struggling families are no longer entitled to vouchers for their children during the holidays. This is a horrible moment to have taken this support away - in our community shop we are doing our best to support children that come in looking for lunches but we should not be having to do this.

This service is more vital than ever before with the cost of living rising sharply for so many of us. 

How can the county council justify making parents choose between keeping their children warm or giving them a hot meal?
