It has now become evident that Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela is intentionally avoiding to exercise objectivity when presiding over the Senzo Meyiwa's murder case. 

Judge Maumela deliberately treats the lawyers involved in the murder case differently. He treats others with respect, dignity, exercise tolerance and humble himself when addressing them while victimizing the defense lawyers representing accused number 1 - 4. 

Initially, he started with Adv Malesela Teffo, accusing him of lack of respect, rudeness and poor decorum, among other things, resulting in Adv Teffo unfortunately being struck of the roll. Meanwhile, judge Maumela is the one who continues to fail to better manage proceedings in his court room but approaches them with high level of biasness. 

Fast forward, Judge Maumela is now beginning to unleash unjustified blows against TT Thobane (lawyer representing accused 1 - 4), victimizing and addressing him in a manner that is embarrassing to him in the court room and to the nation watching the broadcast of the case on various media platforms. 

What happened to the practice of judges calling lawyers to approach the bench for a sidebar (or even the chambers) to talk privately and protect the integrity of the court and of the proceedings? 

Is this a strategy by the judge to collapse the defense team? Are there certain interests being protected that we perhaps do not know about? 

Given what we are witnessing now as a nation, was there a valid reason for Adv Teffo to lose his career?
