Ladera Ranch has always been a bike-friendly community but has never held a formal bike safety event. We would like District Supervisor Lisa Bartlett to work with local law enforcement to hold this event promptly.

A bike safety event - commonly referred to as a bike rodeo - is typically set up into stations where participants learn about bike safety and practice bike skills: fitting their helmet, proper braking/turning, hand motions to signal, etc. We would like a large focus of the event to be on e-bike rules and best practices as well. 

A bike safety event would benefit Ladera Ranch because it would remind and educate cyclists of the correct and important ways to operate bikes and e-bikes so that our community remains a safe, bike-friendly neighborhood where everyone feels comfortable walking, biking and driving around.
