Help Save Sydenham’s Old Train Station

Sydenham is on the cusp of losing one of its last historical buildings – the 1912, ‘Old Sydenham Station’

With recent correspondence from Watergardens landowners (QIC), it has come to my attention that the process of relocating the old station has commenced. An application for a planning permit from the Mornington Railway Preservation Society to relocate it to their Moorooduc Station and be restored has been received by Brimbank City Council on 22.03.21.

It has been 19 years since the heritage overlayed building was used for railway purposes, emblematic of Sydenham’s rich historical identity.

Disappointingly, our local historical society of Sydenham has written to council endorsing the proposed move.

This is the last chance to collectively rally together and advocate for the historical heritage of the Old Sydenham Station. Let’s keep this station local and help stop the proposed relocation.

Show your support to oppose the proposed move by signing this petition to prompt Brimbank City Council to consider local alternatives for the station, enabling future generations to enjoy the wonderful history of our local area.
