Why this petition matters

Started by Sophie Coleman

Currently there are no recycling bins in Hove Park, Preston Park and several other well used public parks around Brighton and Hove. These parks get really busy, especially during the summer months, and it's a common sight to see the bins overflowing with rubbish, much of which could be recycled. Brighton and Hove Council should install recycling facilities in these green spaces.

I regularly run around Hove park and am fed up with seeing and picking up litter left around the park and around overflowing bins that could be recycled.

Brighton and Hove Council state on their website "If we do not act now on the climate emergency, it will be the next generation who will face the ongoing effects of extreme weather, poverty and pollution" so B&H council why are there no recycling bins inside our parks???

Please sign this petition to Brighton and Hove Council and share, whether you are a local resident or not.  Small actions when repeated by many can make a difference!
