Review UBER Britannia Ltd's operating licence in Brighton & Hove

0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!

The City of Brighton & Hove is being flooded with hundreds of uncheckable unenforceable mini cabs from not just London but as far away as the New Forest, Cambridge and even Liverpool. The vast majority operating on the Uber Britannia Ltd platform.

These cars and the drivers do not conform to the high standards laid down by the City's Council designed to keep the travelling Public safe.

Our local licensing officers are unable to use Enforcement on them even at the most basic level of asking for proof of insurance.

Uber Britannia Ltd promised when applying and ultimately being granted their licence in Brighton & Hove only to use Brighton & Hove Licensed cabs and drivers  but blatantly broke that promise from day one even openly encouraging out of city mini cabs to work within the city's boundaries.

Unlike Brighton & Hove Taxis these cars do not have any requirement for wheelchair access.

It is now time for Brighton & Hove City Council to review the Uber Britannia Ltd Operators licence and insist they conform and strictly adhere to their undertaking to only use Brighton & Hove Council licensed vehicles or have their licence suspended until they do.
