Brynmenyn Primary parking rules, use of the Drop off zone.

On the 2nd of December Parents of Brynmenyn Primary School were advised that they would no longer have use of the drop off zone in both Brynmenyn primary School or CCYD from the 6th of December. This would inhibit peoples ability to drop off children in their vehicles, as there is nowhere else to park. This is going to mean parents needing to take their children on foot to school in cold weather and undoubtedly effect their day-to-day lives. For those who need to drive their children to school and be on time in work, or drop children to a second setting such as a childminder or nursery. Not to mention those with multiple young children. Those who have different drop off times for different year groups. And also those who do not live close.
There has been no thought to the stress and problems this will impose on the parents or children. I appreciate the value of safety for our children however having cars parked recklessly or having people rushing too and from the school will inevitably cause more risk I think this needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency.
No alternative options have been arranged or offered and there are many parents who this will effect
