On March 5, 2020 the senior class of brick memorial had a class meeting to discuss prom and graduation. This was when it was brought to our attention that they changed everyone to wearing green gowns and everyone sits together. Before this year, it was girls wear gold gowns and sit separate from the guys. we had no opinion or vote in this to happen. Us girls took our senior photos (over $300) in our gold gowns just for them to tell us it’s green now. That’s not right considering we already took our senior photos. And for prom, you can only bring someone if they’re still in high school in NJ or 20yrs and younger only if they graduated from the brick township school district. We should be able to bring anyone under 20 from the state of NJ, not just people from brick township, most of us talk to people from other towns and have dates from other towns. We want them to change it back to how it use to be or at-least let us have a vote in it since they say it’s always about the students.
