This year, there has been an outbreak of Coronavirus. On March 9th, 2020, Officials say that this virus is entering a new phase... The Virus was travel-related and now it's being classified as domestic transmission. Meaning, we are not much safer here on campus than someone who is traveling. If we don't travel, we are only 40% less likely to catch this virus.

ONLY 56 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TESTED IN AZ

5 people have been deemed positive while 7 await their results

Today, it was reported that a case of Coronavirus was just confirmed in Pinal County! (81 miles away from GCU campus)

There was also a health professional in Maricopa County that tested positive for COVID-19  3 days ago.. (March 6th, 2020)

In closing, we think that GCU students and staff can work together through this pandemic by creating ways to finish current classes online.
