Atlanta, Ga currently has a curfew of 9 pm. It is extremely difficult for poor/working class black citizens to get home without being harassed by police. Not to mention, a lot of us rely heavily on Marta to take us home and we don’t have that option anymore. Many of us end up being stranded and having to walk miles home or having to wait until 6 am when Marta starts running again. We have also witnessed violent encounters with police and people who were out past curfew. We are trying to avoid possibly risking our lives or being punished for simply trying to go home from work from our essential jobs. Homeless people who have no where else to go have also been targeted, We need the curfew to stop being extended. It is putting black lives and other homeless lives at risk!!!
