Demand Georgia Lawmakers Repeal New Voting Law

Demand Georgia Lawmakers Repeal New Voting Law
Why this petition matters
The bill Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed into law in late March 2021 creates deliberate barriers to voting, including criminalizing giving people food and water while they wait in long voting lines.
Across the country, we are facing a tidal wave of bills like this designed to infringe on our freedom to vote. These restrictive bills are no longer abstract — they are real threats that make it harder for Americans to cast their vote and have their voices heard. Since the November election, more than 361 bills designed to create barriers to voting have been introduced in 47 state legislatures across the country.
Georgia legislators have made it a criminal act for anyone to provide food and water to voters while they wait in long voting lines. Every American has the right and the freedom to choose our elected leaders. In Georgia, this new law compounds the problem of the decrease in the number of voting locations and WILL prevent people from exercising their right to vote. Please sign this petition and make sure Georgia legislators hear and change this injustice, or else other states will be more likely to follow.
