STOP THE NEW BRUNSWICK PROPERTY TAX RIP-OFF
This petition had 32 supporters
New Brunswick property owners are facing record setting increases in property assessments in 2017, causing property taxes to increase by huge numbers. This is a misguided tax grab on the part of the Brian Gallant Liberal government and needs to be stopped. By forcing government to make changes in the tax assessment process, property owners and tenants will save thousands of dollars in unfair assessment and tax increases.
Our petition asks the Brian Gallant Liberal government to
1. extend the appeal period for all property assessments in New Brunswick to September, 2017 and
2. follow Nova Scotia's lead and bring in a property assessment cap for taxation purposes.
