Re-testing Drivers at the age of 65

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

We have all seen it, the ones sitting super close to the steering wheel squinting out their windshields, the driver going 30 in a 60 zone, the driver who hits you or your parked vehicle in the parking lot, the drivers who drifts in and out of lanes without signaling. Unfortunately when we look to see who these drivers are a good 85% of the time they are seniors driving vehicles they shouldn’t be operating.

I would like to propose that we re evaluate drivers at the age of 65 and every 5 years consecutively. As people age, prescriptions change, alertness lessens, vision loss happens and undiagnosed dimentia is a danger to the roadway.
