Retain the current traffic patterns on East and West Bremer Avenue in Waverly, Iowa
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
On September 19, 2016, the Waverly City Council agreed by a vote of 6-1 that the majority of citizens and businesses would prefer to have Bremer Avenue remain a 4-lane corridor with the option to bring this back again for consideration in the future.
Now is the time (less than two years later) that it is being considered. Since this resolution was passed, no roadway infrastructure has changed within the city limits nor has any new traffic or crash data been presented, let alone been gathered, that would warrant a different decision to be made at the present time.
Once roadway projects such as the Bremer Avenue reconstruction, the Cedar River Parkway extension and Cedar Lane Road are complete, it would be warranted to consider an educated conversation with new traffic and crash data.
If the number of required signatures on this petition are gathered to support a ballot measure to be presented to the registered voters, this petition shall be valid for such purposes.
If you are a resident of Waverly and it is you opinion and request that the City Council should vote to retain the current traffic patterns on East and West Bremer Avenue in Waverly, Iowa, this would be an appropriate petition to sign to be forwarded to the Waverly City Council.
