Give Goffstown & New Boston taxpayers back their money

In December of 2017, SAU 19 released a news article regarding their audit where it was found they were holding $9.1 million in excess funds, accumulated since 2011 (with irregularities starting in 2007). The excess funds were suppose to be returned to the taxpayers to help off-set the tax rate, not kept as an unreserved fund balance. Here is a direct link to the news release:   http://www.goffstown.k12.nh.us/index.php Scroll below on SAU site.

Several options have been outlined by the school board, which do not include a direct refund of the amounts in error to the taxpayers of Goffstown in New Boston. There is a large contingent of residents in both towns that feel strongly that the only solution here is a refund -- directly or through reduction of tax rate.  Please support this petition if you are in agreement and share freely.  Thank you.
