The City of Revere has enforced a barrel mandate after sending a notice to all residents that they needed to buy wheeled barrels. My family spent over $300 to buy these new barrels. Suddenly, they send out City Barrels that they are requiring residents to spend $75/each. When this notice came out I quickly sent an email to City Hall saying I already went out & bought barrels that look just like the barrels they are requiring residents to use. I have an email saying I can continue to use these barrels because they are within the guideline. WITHOUT NOTICE THEY CHANGED THIS RULE! My family has now received 3 voilations for using non City barrels! They want me to spend another $300 to buy their barrels!! It is absolutely ridiculous they are forcing residents to spend this kind of money during financial crisis. Mayor Arrigo has done nothing to help Revere residents with the complaints of the new Trash Barrel Mandate! Please sign this petition! Mayor Arrigo needs to start helping his residents & not taking from them!
