We want the Brentwood School Board to pass a resolution ending all discrimination.

We want the Brentwood School Board to pass a resolution ending all discrimination.
IT'S TIME THAT THE BOARD PASS THIS RESOLUTION TO END DISCRIMINATION AGAINST BLACKS AND LATINOS IN TEACHER HIRING, END THE OVER-SUSPENSION OF BLACK & LATINO STUDENTS, AND END THE HARASSMENT OF BLACK & LATINO EMPLOYEES!
Therefore, be it resolved that the Brentwood Board of Education directs the Superintendent of Schools Richard Loeschner to:
1. End the policy and practice of ripening or developing temporary certificated contracts into probationary certificated contracts,
2. End the policy and practice of first considering internal candidates for certificated positions,
3. End the policy and practice of aiding or giving special treatment to candidates for certificated positions,
4. End the practice of saving white/caucasian employees from discipline when discipline is clearly warranted for unethical, illegal and/or criminal acts,
5. End the harassment and retaliation against students and employees who file discrimination claims against the District, and
6. Follow School Board Policies 9220 and 9240 for the hiring of all employees of the District henceforth.
