Locally in the Brentwood / Shenfield area, Night Venue’s including Restaurant’s / Pub’s and Club’s are open till the early hours of the morning but street lights in these areas go OFF @1am.

Since the 1am Street Light Turn Off a few years ago (For Environmental Reasons I believe) was implemented - Crime locally has risen including:-

A/ Anti Social Behaviour.

B/ Muggings.

C/ Personal Thefts. 

D/ Car Thefts.

E/ Knife Attacks etc. 

We Don’t see Police patrolling the Local Streets & Roads in either Marked Car’s or on Foot anymore, especially at kicking out times. 

Could / Should the Council look at either turning the lights back on or IMPROVING the Street lighting with Newer Lower Voltage lighting that can be left on during all Darkness hours, Thus allowing Safer Travel around the borough and to also help fight ALL types of crime.
