Halt urban sprawl and unreasonable rent rates in Bremerton, Washington

Local government in Kitsap County, Wa is aggressively courting Seattle professionals and relocaters to move to the small town of Bremerton with the hope and promises of new housing for those of a higher wage and tax bracket. Many locals with and without jobs are now homeless due to the local government's inadequate application of Municipal Code 7.24.020. Housing costs are now unrealistically thru the roof and locals are being pushed aside and discriminated. Beaurocratic funded ads are being promoted nationally showing a clean, 'happy' place recently 'crime free', described with hyperbole thru hypocrisy. There is now limited 'affordable' housing for the working class Bremertonian. We are shown rental ads that might be worth the $400+ on top of application fees and deposits, but upon inspection, we find how false advertising(lies) hide barely maintained, atrocious, living conditions. We are losing the small greenbelt areas in favor of penthouse living. duplexes. We ask that the sprawl is halted in favor of focusing on stable and reasonable rents, legally inspected housing safe to live in, and the for our beaurocrats to focus on the improvement of Bremerton for those already here who work to keep this area going. The mayor and governor deliberate upon the 'homeless issue prevalent in our state and how it should be solved, over developing already established communities, exorbitant rents and inviting an influx of people will do one thing for sure, create more homeless people. Help us fight for our rights and perhaps other small and struggling town's will find their voice as well.
