The new 2 dollar bill used to "honor" our 44th president, Barack Obama, has him in the background of said bill, yet the portrait on the bill is one of Thomas Jefferson. A slave owner, who has conceived many black-mixed children with his slaves.

As this just isn't right at all, my grandfather and I would like to change this and make this bill right, since they want to honor our first black president so much. It's a huge slap in the face, really. Imagine putting a black man on a dollar with a man who owned slaves. 

Besides, if you know your stuff, Thomas Jefferson already has a coin; the Nickel. Meaning that in all honesty, you could just take Jefferson off there and give Obama the portrait he's earned on the 2 dollar bill.

And in case you still don't think this makes sense, most stores actually don't even accept 2 dollars bills. This is just a keepsake. A slap in the face keepsake. You're going to keep a big "haha, screw you" to Obama plastered on your wall? That's not very good at all, huh? I don't really know what the mint was thinking when they decided this, but I don't really like it. It takes away real representation, as he's just on there, instead of actually being there. 

I just want real representation. Not for the government to do the bare minimum by putting a black guy on a dollar without acknowledging the portrait of a slave owner on there as well. I want Obama to be in someone's pocket. To be on an accepted currency, where people will ask "hey, do you have money on you?" and you can pull out a bill with a very good president on it. Please, help us out with this one.
