Mindy Bosket started this petition to Bradford County Highway Department

Morris Road is a twisting dirt road in the mountains.  There have been several accidents on this road requiring life flights, and more than one resulting in loss of life.  Both the towns and the county know this road is dangerous in all weather conditions as the gravel is slippery even when dry.  Despite so many accidents the local government has done nothing to improve the situation.

Most recently, a pickup truck accident occurred on September 28th, 2020.  This resulted in the death of Zachary Jerkes, my brother in law, and another individual required a life flight.  This accident costed an uncountable number of man hours between EMS, police, firefighters, life flight crew and tow truck operators.  It also costed this community the life of a loved and highly thought of 30 year old father.

While guardrails would not have prevented this accident,  it's very likely Zachary's life would have been spared.  Guardrail installation will highly reduce accidents of this magnitude on Morris Road.  We all live here and pay taxes here and the cost of the guardrails would be covered if they prevent just one life flight call.  You cannot put a price on a life,  and I believe many lives would be saved by simply installing guardrails.
