Save Menston’s Green Belt before it’s too late

I am a 14 year old boy and I have lived in Menston my whole life and despite evidence of potential flooding, 114 houses have been accepted over 3 fields - this has been ignored by Bradford Council. Despite signs protesting against this plan since 2004, apparently this has also been ignored too. In 2019 it was revealed that Bradford was 51st out of 52 UK cities in terms of environmentally friendliness. This is disgraceful. Recently housing has also been started on Bingley Road, where people have had views of the beautiful countryside foreverthis will be destroyed forever. To turn a green countryside village into a brown housing estate is an abomination. The village of Menston was mentioned in the Domesday Book as Skyrack and this historical site of Menston also holds Old Menston Hall/Fairfax Hall - described by Bradford Council as an ”area of special architectural or historic interest the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance”. Building the cheap 114 houses will destroy the wildlife and destroy the community. This land could be used for anything but building on green land is lazy and cheap once again. This green land is so important to the community and building here would destroy the community forever. In 2019 it was revealed that Bradford was 51st out of 52 UK cities in terms of environmentally friendliness. So PLEASE HELP TODAY.
