Opposition to the felling of a protected tree in Thornton, Bradford
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
An application has been submitted to fell a Silver Birch which currently has a Tree Protection Order. The tree is in the recognised conservation area of Thornton Village and its loss would be detrimental to its surroundings and a multitude of local wildlife around Havelock Field. The application has been made under false representation of loss of light - a physical impossibility from the position of the house concerned, in relation to the location of the tree. Telephone lines also run nearby and the tree is classed as a nuisance because bt have applied to have the tree trimmed in the past. I believe lopping is the best way to manage this - the request to fell is totally unnecessary.
The decision to fell is still pending so please lend your support and have your voice heard. Please help to stop the loss of another of our beautiful mature trees
