Cameron Stow-Smith started this petition to Brad Hazzard (NSW Minister for Health and Medical Research)
The NSW Government has removed almost all COVID-related capacity limits on business and community, however, for reasons unknown, a class capacity limit of 20 people remains for gyms. This is absurd. Do they deem gym classes to be higher risk than nightclubs? There has been no reasoning put forward from a health perspective to support this measure.
Why aren't gym classes given a density limit, such as 2 or 4sqm per person, rather than a "one size fits all" limit of 20 people? An 80sqm gym space or a 300sqm gym space currently have the same class capacity, it makes no sense.
