I'm signing because people go missing and a lot can happen in 48 hours. If I could change it, I would change it to 24 hours.

It’s the right thing to do! The law as it is writing right now discriminates against adults by not allowing the police to take any action before the 48hr period. We life in a dangerous world and time has surely changed and I think the law should be revised to meet the needs we are confronted with in this new app era.

My son is an adult (23 years old) but severely mentally ill, so waiting 48 hours would be awful, because he has the mentality of a 14 year old.

People matter lives could be saved if first responders like myself were alerted sooner. Too many times a person is not found alive because we are not told until after 24 to 48 hrs, the first 48 hours are the most crucial in finding someone alive. I believe it should be immediate always.

If they break their normal routine and no one can find them I think that's enough cause for concern.
