On November 7th 15 FBI agents raided LA Councilmember Jose Huizar’s Boyle Heights home and City Counsel office. FBI agents removed several boxes labeled “fundraising.”
According to several media outlets, including the LA Times, Huizar is suspected of using city time and goverment employees to raise money for personal benefit. Sources are claiming he wielded his power as Chairman Planning and Land Use Management Committee to facilitate donations to his high school.
Jose Huizar has embarrassed his constituents and the community he respesents. His questionable ethics are enough to call for his resignation from Los Angeles. Help us send a message to City Council and Mayor Eric Garcetti that Jose Huizar resign immediately.
