Prom is something you never forget! No school should have the right to tell you who you can and cannot bring as your date and if they do, they are discriminating against your choice. Your date may have already graduated high school, just be entering high school, or never attended. There could be many reasons for this... They may be your parents who never attended theirs for whatever reason and you are bringing them as your date for a lasting experience for you both. They may be your younger sibling who may or may not have health issues and this may or may not be your reason for taking them. They may be your girlfriend/boyfriend and they may have repeated grades or graduated already. They may just be younger or older than you are. Or there may be another reason they are younger, older, a different color, a different race, so on and so forth.

Aren't we supposed to be past the discrimination era? Telling people, they aren't in a high enough grade to attend is just another form of discrimination! It's age or grade discrimination.

The point is... No one should be able to tell anyone else who they can or cannot bring as long as no laws will be broken, and everyone can and will have a safe and enjoyable night.

Help me put a STOP to this DISCRIMINATION at Boyd County High School by signing this petition.
