On March 5th around 1:47 A.M., police were called to the Red Lion bar right outside of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus. An altercation occurred between an unidentified female customer and a Red Lion bouncer. When she was taken outside, witnesses said that the bouncer swung the girl onto the ground where she proceeded to slam her head into the brick wall. Bystanders said that her head began to bleed and she was unconscious when the paramedics arrived. The condition of the girl is currently unknown.

No matter if he was provoked or not, that behavior is unacceptable. This girl was no threat to this man and he had no right to act in this way. Since the event, the Red Lion has been turning off the comments on their Instagram page as well as deleting any comments addressing March 5th. They seem to be hiding what happened and it is our responsibility to make sure that they are held accountable.
