Boycott Darrell Issa Hearings

Darrell Issa (R-CA), as chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, has disgraced the House and used his position as a partisan pulpit from which to bully his Democratic colleagues and the Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder.

In the months long investigation of the so-called "Fast and Furious" scandal, chairman Issa refused to let Democratic members of the committee call even one witness. He conducted his own personal kangaroo court whereby he called the Attorney General a "liar" without any supporting evidence, repeatedly insinuated that the Attorney General was covering up the events surrounding the death of a federal agent (again without any supporting evidence), rejected the asserted executive privilege of the President of the United States, and finally, led the House in a vote to hold the Attorney General in contempt of Congress on 28 June, 2012.

The actions by Darrell Issa are a disgrace, are not worthy of participation by serious legislators and I urge our Democratic representives to render his committee utterly meanlingless by refusing to dignify it with your participation.
