On November 6th 2020, Johnny Depp a much loved and well respected icon in the film industry released a statement on his Instagram page letting his fans know he had been asked to resign from Warner Brothers movie Franchise Fantastic Beasts. 

“I wish to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros. from my role as Grindenwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected and agreed to that request.”

Johnny respectfully decided to accept WB's decision even though it would cost him millions of future earnings and further tarnish his reputation which has been torched by ex Amber Heard.

On June 1st 2022, Amber Heard was found liable of defaming Johnny in her 2018 Op-Ed where she accused Johnny of domestic violence and painted herself as the victim. Warner Brother's own President of DC Films Walter Hamada testified in the court case and confirmed that Amber Heard had no chemistry with the lead in Aquaman, Jason Momoa, and that any comments made by Johnny Depp or his attorney Adam Waldman made no impact on their decision on wether to keep Amber Heard in the films.

Warner Bros have not released Amber Heard from Aquaman 2 after another petition gained millions of signatures demanding for her removal, especially after the decision was made in this case. 

This is a case of sexism at its finest. 

Warner Brothers need to face the backlash of treating an abuse victim in Johnny Depp with no respect, just to save money and save face. 

Its time to completely boycott Aquaman 2.
