After completing my Eagle Project, a tiled tolerance wall at my middle school, my scout master called my dad to inform him he would not sign off on my Eagle Award because I am gay. I have been involved in scouts since I was 6 years old and believe sexual orientation should not be a barrier to this organization. Please join me in calling on the BSA to rescind its gay ban and on Troop 212 of Moraga and the Mount Diablo Silverado Council to allow their scouts to be themselves and earn their Eagle awards in the future.
