"A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent." This is the Boy Scout law which I repeated every day I was with my troop for almost 8 years. After completing my Eagle Project and topping off my Eagle Binder, my troop leader let me know that he will not be signing any of it off in the end because I am openly homosexual. Boy Scouts of America, it is not right to discount all of my hard work in your troops for something which means so little about me as a person.
Boys should not be misled and denied something they have worked so hard for. Homosexuals should not be discriminated against in an organization so large and promoting so many positive morals on youth.
