Hello Bowie State Campus Community,

As you may have heard, Bowie State University department of athletics is not allowing any fans, spectators, or media to attend live in-person basketball games for both the Men and Women's teams. This policy has been extended for the rest of the 2021-2022 season. This is saddening because our players deserve to be recognized for their athletic talent and arduous efforts. After missing out on a season last year, they needed us more than ever to support them in their return to competing. Not being able to attend the games is heart breaking and these young men and women practice and work too hard to play in a silent arena. These players need our support and love. They need us to cheer them on to victory! As a community and family we are committed to show our love and support for our athletic teams and our Men and Women's basketball teams are no exception to that commitment. That is what going to an HBCU is all about!! Please sign this petition in hopes to lift this policy and have the ability to attend our home games. Thank you very much!!
