A unique, one of a kind aircraft abandoned at Bournemouth Airport in the United Kingdom has an uncertain future, with rumours that it may be scrapped!! The Canadair CL-44-0 Conroy Skymonster which was built in the late 60's had it's first flight on 26 November 1969. The aircraft is a specialised cargo aircraft based on the Canadair CL-44 freighter, with an outsize fuselage. If anybody is interested in unique aircraft/vehicles, please do contact Bournemouth Airport (UK) or their parent company Manchester Airports Group (M.A.G.) and ask them to preserve and donate this piece of history to the Bournemouth Aviation Museum! Additionally funds need to be gained in order to move this aircraft to the museum, I would like to urge Bombardier to contribute as the Skymonster is part of it's history (after taking over Canadair back in 1986).
