there is no componant for council tax built into any current benefits therefore the changes to council tax benefit is in effect a hugh cut. But the Government already know this.

The proposals are unjust - taking from those on what the Government deems the bare minimum while freezing council tax for the richest

It should be important to whichever Government is privileged to have been elected to ensure more than the very basic human right of each and every one of us to have a decent standard of living. And that means Decent. Standard.

'Vulnerable people' is too vague - anyone on a low wage or benefits is unable to pay more. Another example of this coalition hitting the poor and not those who can afford to pay. We are struggling daily as it is.

It's unfair because it will hit the poorest hardest and the rich least.

Cuts aren't the answer and it's increasing homelessness and crime as well as putting our economy into a downward spiral. That's important to everyone in this Country whether they acknowledge it or not.

I am on a low wage, £8,500 last year, I cannot afford to pay any more money to the council especially in an economic climate that is seeing price increases at every level - food, energy, fares etc. I hope the council will continue to assist people on low incomes. It is disgusting that in this day and age children and the elderly are not able to eat a proper meal on a daily basis. Please do not add to this terrible situation.
