Clare Povah started this petition to Boswells School Governors

Boswells School is introducing a new uniform policy insisting that parents must purchase expensive school trousers from the school uniform shop, and that trousers not purchased from there will no longer be permitted from September 2020.

Government guidance is that uniform should be available from more than one supplier, with supermarket brands being appropriate for most items.  The cost of the trousers from the uniform shop is significantly higher than the items available from supermarkets and similar.

Parents appreciate the need for sensible uniform, but schools must appreciate that the high cost of items from the uniform shop will be prohibitive to many parents. There is no justification for no longer permitting other brand school trousers, as sensible trousers are available elsewhere.
