Support the Affordable Housing project on Cheney and Schuyler Streets.
The Cheney Homes will provide much needed affordable rental housing units for 59 seniors at or below 60% of Area Median Income, and the opportunity for 15 new families who are within 80-100% Area Median Income (AMI) to become home-owners in Boston.
For more information about the project, please follow this link (click here).
The project program will facilitate comprehensive resident services for seniors, including Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) services for any neighborhood resident enrolled in the program and other services for special needs populations as appropriate. PACE is a medicare/medicaid program that provides supportive services to nursing home eligible seniors with the intention of keeping them in their homes and out of institutions for as long as possible.
JPNDC started this project in 2019, and in 2021 received approval from the BPDA (Boston Planning and Development Agency). This project still requires approval from the Zoning Board of Appeals to ensure that funding is available.
I support the Affordable Housing project on Cheney and Schuyler Streets (Cheney Homes), proposed by the JPNDC in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. This project will include the new construction of 59 service enriched affordable senior housing in a four and a half story building with 28 ground level parking spaces and 15 affordable homeownership opportunities with a one to one parking ratio for families in Grove Hall.
