Institute a comprehensive caller/victim alcohol medical amnesty policy.
Boston University currently does not have an official caller and victim alcohol medical amnesty; instead, it simply has a vague, ill-defined paragraph that essentially says one *might* or will *usually* receive medical amnesty should the University administration deem it appropriate. This "policy" authorizes the administration to make unacceptably arbitrary decisions on a case-by-case basis. The ambiguity of this "policy" only deters victims and friends from contacting emergency assistance in dangerous situations involving alcohol.
Boston University students should not have to fear administrative repercussions when placed in a situation where one or more lives are in danger due to underage alcohol consumption. BU officials should value the safety of their students above all else.
