We need development that is responsive to the needs of the community that will be most impacted by proposed development. BRA doesn't represent the community needs.

The BRA/BPDA answers and does the bidding for developers and totally ignores the voices and legitimate concerns of neighborhood residents —who then suffer all the
negative consequences of excessive noise, unprecedented traffic congestion, complete lack of truly affordable housing and the near total disappearance of the essential middle class. Meanwhile, developers count their millions and the quality of life for Boston residents goes downhill. This has been the case since 1960 — almost 60 years. Boston is now becoming a city only for the very, very rich to enjoy.

The oversight and zoning relief approval is a joke and nothing being built in the community we fell in love with adds any long term value to the neighborhood. As a young family who moved to Brighton about 12 years ago, we look around and see the community eroding around us in favor of massive high density buildings attracting transient renters with no attachment to the neighborhood. If things keep going as they are the city is going to lose us and families like us. Hey, atleast the developers will get their fistfuls of money.

I have been involved in this process for many years, and of recent in the development of the property formally owned by the Boston Cab property.where not enough attention was gave to the local community.

BRA needs to stop railroading projects through communities and destroying the fabric of our city. Is Boston a city of people or just the renters of real estate investors? I say let's support the people who make Boston great.
