Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA): Please support the proposed splash pad feature in the Navy Yard!

Children are central to the vibrancy and health of the City of Boston. During the hot summer months, access to safe and clean water features allows for children to grow and thrive in the City environment. In the neighborhood of Charlestown, we lack a safe water feature for children in the Navy Yard neighborhood following the closure of a water fountain. (That water fountain cannot be reopened or renovated for safe use by children.) The Boston Redevelopment Authority has proposed to install a splash pad connected to the children's playground in the Navy Yard, which would allow children safe entry for both play and water access. The Charlestown Mothers Association is asking for the community’s support for this water feature – this location is central to housing projects, homes and over a thousand families with children. Please join us in asking the BRA to support the splash pad feature in the Navy Yard.
