Yr 11 children are not eligible to receive the free school meals vouchers over the summer holidays. This is the only year group that will currently not be receiving the help from the government.  During this pandemic thousands of parents have lost their jobs & some being furlloughed & some slipping through the gap and falling into the new starter category to where they have not been eligible to be furloughed . This is not acceptable & penalising parents of yr 11yr students is not right , these children need to be fed just as much as all the other yr groups . These vouchers offer a life line to many parents at such difficult times both now and in the future . These students have already had their last few months in secondaty school swept from under their feet , all their hard work for years has been scuppered,  no GSCE exams no Prom and no goodbyes to the schools they've attended since they were 11yrs old
