We are in a pandemic, and when you look at history we have had one every 50 or so years for centuries. They don.t disappear quickly. And if get this wrong i will happily eat my hat!!!! But this will go on for a few years yet. And why keep going up and down with lock downs freedom and lockdowns. We need some continuity, for us, for the marketplace and for our mental heath. So why cant we just keep to a soft set of restrictions. This way we can all be a bit safer, a bit kinder to those more at risk and share the problem a little more evenly. Why not keep masks, tables at restaurants and pubs etc, no huge parties, but start to trial events and watch the results. But keep the masks on. Is it so bad to have a few restrictions for a year or two more but have no more up and down vast changes and more problems with covering these increases. Play it safe and save money, help pay the trillions we will be owing for the next 100 years !!!! Wear a mask, save on colds flu and covid, save the NHS money, and reduce the debts. Save more people from catching it, and its fine to say this isnt for you, but talk to a person who has long covid and you will very quickly change your tune. We can all help each other by just being a little more cautious. Even just wearing masks everyday for a year or two more will help. Is that really that bad?
