The coronavirus is going to have a financial and long lasting impact on all small - medium businesses, including my own. I have already lost clients, and I know many others facing utter devastation. 

In such uncertain times, a loss of business is guaranteed with many businesses already feeling it. This will lead to loss of income, redundancies, businesses going under and severe mental health affects.

I am campaigning to Boris Johnson and the UK government to waive the upcoming VAT return for SMEs. This is a great sum of money that businesses would benefit from keeping in this climate and investing back into their business.

Waiving the VAT return (which can amount to £1000s in tax) will mean more stability and sustainability for businesses, and in turn the economy and country. It will mean less businesses going under and less people being made redundant.

Being able to use this money may mean that smaller businesses can function over the coming months and recuperate their losses at a time of crisis.
